Hopes Capacity-Building Programme:

What: In addition to fully sponsoring the Hopes scholarship Students with tuition, transportation fees and books, we provide a mandatory Capacity-Building Programme  through Trainings and our Hopes Book Club. These activities help our students develop their character, learn new skills, build a strong team with one another, nurture their strengths and recognize their weaknesses so as to further assess their needs and pursue self-improvement at every opportunity.

How: All Hopes applicants partake in development-based workshops that aim to enhance their self-confidence, skills, and technical knowledge. We believe that individual mentoring helps build on the unique experience developed during the learning process. We aim to provide the tools needed towards achieving success and self-sustainability post-graduation, by enabling a bridge between education and future employment. We provide life skills and technical training workshops to help enhance the applicants’ professional development.

Why: In the progress of education that drives Hopes Scholarship Students towards constructive thinking, action and advancement, the efforts of Hopes will be to raise issues about women for women. In empowering them with the tools, the networks and the training needed to reflect their identities within their local communities, these dynamic and unique women are able to give back what they learned to their communities, both locally and abroad. In the course of their self-development, these women will engage in the Hopes for Women in Education’s development, which will both assist and create a long-standing affiliation with the organization. Hopes Applicants will be encouraged to become self-sustainable to increase their chances of success post-graduation.
